Haven Works Ltd. is a design-build company, operating in Calgary, Alberta.
We are client-focused and committed to craft excellence. Our work focuses on site-specific residential design solutions with contemporary forms and materials. We create spaces that integrate people with their interior and exterior surroundings, respecting and embracing our northern climate.
We operate across multiple spectrums of scale, scope, and budget, providing design and construction services that steward resources effectively and responsibly. Our projects include new construction, renovations and additions, and we have a keen interest in innovative solutions for alternative dwelling strategies, such as backyard and laneway suites.
What is Design-Build?
Design-Build is a construction delivery method combining design and construction services within a single entity. This delivery method is successfully implemented across virtually all sectors of the construction industry.
In a more conventional construction delivery process a client will hire construction and design professionals as separate entities and work to manage both contracts simultaneously. Design-Build combines these two entities to create a single point of responsibility throughout a project. We believe this delivery process improves coordination between design and construction and reduces conflicts between competing contracts and priorities.
